(ANSA) – ROME, 02 SEPTEMBER – The distribution of the new ‘Dedicata a Te’ card worth 500 euros per household for groceries, fuel or public transport passes will begin on Monday 9 September. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry announced this, underlining that 1,330,000 households with an ISEE income of less than 15,000 euros will benefit from it. The card can be collected at post offices after receiving notification from the municipality of residence. Citizens who receive other public contributions are excluded. “Concrete help from the Meloni government”, said Minister Francesco Lollobrigida. This year, more resources are earmarked for the initiative: 600 million which have allowed the value of the card to be increased to 500 euros per household. For card holders who still meet the requirements in 2024, the amount of 500 euros will be automatically recharged. The list of purchasable products has been expanded compared to 2023, also including PDO and PGI products, frozen vegetables and frozen baked goods. Households will also be able to benefit from the 15% discount that the Government has ensured again this year together with large-scale distribution. The companies managing fuel distribution points have also signed specific agreements with Mimit published on the institutional website. The first purchase with the Card must be made by 16 December 2024 and the total amount assigned must be used in full by 28 February 2025. A dedicated section will be set up on the Masaf website where it will be possible to find more information. “Following the positive feedback received from the Dedicata a te card in 2023 – Lollobrigida said – we wanted to relaunch the card dedicated to you by increasing the beneficiaries and resources available for families. This measure reiterates the attention of the Meloni Government towards families who are experiencing a difficult time and at the same time represents support and stimulus to Italian production chains. A concrete and structural measure, not a simple advertisement, which goes in the direction of the growth of the Italian System to guarantee everyone economic accessibility to healthy, sustainable and quality products”.
