From the basement to the light

No basement, no stairs, no smoke: but there is now significantly more space in the new “Kinly Bar”.

The move to the other side of the street did not harm one of the best known and best German cocktail bars. The extremely complex in-house creations are also impressive in new surroundings.

NOf course you can also drink a simple gin and tonic. Or a perfectly normal Martini, an Old Fashioned or one of the countless other classic drinks that are basically available everywhere and that – if they are reasonably well made – also get you through the evening. Yes, and of course they are well done here in the Kinly Bar. It would be even nicer if one of the best known and best bars in the country didn’t serve a decent Daiquiri or Manhattan. However, such standards are not the core business of René Soffner and his team. They have made a name for themselves with extremely sophisticated and elaborate creations of their own and thus made their bar known far beyond Frankfurt.

And that’s why most guests at “Kinly” don’t order run-of-the-mill cocktails, but creations like the “Butterfly Mojito” with rum, mint, clarified lime and soda, the “Barrio Libre” with rum and a kind of homemade cola made from aronia berries, orange and lime and spices or even the “King Clear I.”, which is something of a legend among the “Kinly” classics.
