Second and last part

The previous week I offered details of the First State Meeting of Academic Bodies, a meeting that has no precedent between Higher Secondary and Higher Education in our entity; promoted with the intention of analyzing the educational relevance in relation to the work vocation, the development offer that currently exists in Durango and the one that is envisioned to be promoted.

The meeting started from the premise that education and the economy are two factors that promote social evolution and that the construction of scientific and technological knowledge is not achieved in individual efforts, but in collective, collaborative and cooperative activity.

Likewise, taking into account that educational and economic research helps determine how to effectively allocate public resources for education, to decide how much to invest in education, at what educational levels and in what specific areas, such as infrastructure, teacher training or development of resumes.

I pointed out that 10 deliberation tables were set up, which were made up of different participants, mainly representatives of Higher Secondary and Higher Education, who gave their opinions on seven debate guidelines; Almost 190 proposals were obtained, from which I now make an extract to present to you, who so kindly read this column.

In the topic of Development of skills of graduates from Higher Secondary and Higher Education Institutions, with respect to basic education, the main contributions are around the strengthening of educational innovation through research; the relevance of professional practices with projects and activities specific to the level and area of ​​specialization; the promotion of competency certifications to improve professional quality and strengthen soft skills.

The proposals for the placement of graduates in the local productive sector are in the sense of greater school-business-community-government links; updating plans and programs, based on relevance and feasibility studies considering the state and national context; the strengthening of academic activity in coordination with the business sector; the development of second and third language skills and the reinforcement of the professionalization and entrepreneurship of students in institutions.

In the line of Actions for technological transfer (Dual Education), collaborative projects are proposed with the participation of members of academic bodies-students-company; corporate responsibility; entrepreneurship and job boards in institutions; redesign of the graduation profile considering the needs, knowledge and skills required by companies; strengthen institutional-industry-productive sector agreements and training by the industry and/or Productive Sector for teachers, regarding current and future needs.

In the sense of the relevance of educational programs, technical careers according to the needs of the company, it is proposed to develop mechanisms for the coordination, supervision and validation of infrastructure and equipment relevant to the needs of the educational and industrial sector; design study programs for the state, according to labor demand, that contain humanistic, inclusive training and with a gender perspective; generation of programs that include the emotional, social and economic aspect.

The Proposals for lines of application and generation of specific knowledge according to the educational level are: carrying out effective diagnoses to identify needs; development and promotion of innovation, science and technology; strengthening the situational analysis in educational institutions, supporting and promoting projects that contribute to economic-social development.

Regarding the relevance of the postgraduate educational programs according to the needs of the Entity, it is suggested to redesign the postgraduate programs according to current needs; constant teaching and management training and updating; develop lines of research within institutions with a postgraduate focus on strategic sectors for the entity.

In the topic Enabling researchers for the consolidation of academic bodies and/or academies, it is suggested that investment for research in institutions within the state be strengthened; create a registry of inter-university researchers; provide encouragement and support to researchers to consolidate their line of research; strengthen spaces for the dissemination of educational research; create a regulatory body with regulations for the selection of researchers; rescue the value of the PRODEP profile and institutional support for entry to the SIN.

The First State Meeting of Economic Research and Educational Development has been a space of openness to the dissemination and exchange of ideas to strengthen basic and applied research that has allowed the co-participation of institutions at all educational levels with the Economic Development and Business, and the Science and Technology Council, for problem solving.

This is how we begin educational reconstruction, this is how we continue to educate with courage.
