Shortly before the transfer window closed, VfB Stuttgart made improvements in midfield – and at the same time. Mahmoud Dahoud is supposed to increase the options in the center and is coming from the island on loan.

Now everything had to happen very quickly: After “Sky” first reported on Wednesday that VfB Stuttgart was working on a Bundesliga return for Mahmoud Dahoud, the deal was officially confirmed on Thursday morning.
Dahoud, who has already played a total of 162 Bundesliga games for Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund, is coming from the Premier League to third-placed Brighton & Hove Albion on loan. In addition to the loan until the end of the season, VfB has also negotiated a purchase option for the summer.
Little playing time in the Premier League
The 28-year-old midfielder has had little playing time with the Seagulls since his free transfer from BVB in the summer of 2023. There were just nine appearances in the Premier League – none over the full distance. Dahoud now wants to gain more playing time at VfB.
