Following the cinematic success of the movie “Uncharted” starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, Sony’s Playstation Productions has announced three more creations based on their favorite console games. For the new works, whose production process has already begun, three popular and exclusive Sony games have been selected: “Horizon”, “God of War”, and “Gran Turismo”.
Horizon, the action game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the controlling machines will reach Netflix. As in the beloved game, here too the main character will be Alloy, a hunter trying to survive in the tough world in which she finds herself. Sony has not yet clarified whether this is a series or a movie exclusive to Netflix.
God of War, in which the actor plays Kratos, a Spartan warrior who challenges the Greek gods from mythology after working for the god of war Venom for years. The new series will reach Netflix’s rival – Amazon Prime, but it is not yet clear whether the series will feature new and original characters or follow the plot of the games.

The third game, Gran Turismo, is the only one that is not yet known where it will land, but is already known to feature original characters and an original plot, as it is a car racing based game and therefore the creators of the series will need to be particularly original.
What is certain is that all three new works will only come to our screens after another Sony series – The Last of Us. The game, which stars Joel, a merchant and smuggler in post-apocalyptic America, is considered especially popular with PlayStation players. In the original game from 2013, Joel takes over Eli, a 14-year-old girl he is forced to keep alive and bring her to a gang of rebels, while he fights hunters and cannibals.
The new series will land as early as 2023 on HBO’s streaming service with the two lead roles to be played by Pedro Pascal (“Mandelorian,” “Game of Thrones”) and Bella Ramsey (Liana Mormont in “Game of Thrones”). The soundtrack of the series will be entrusted to Gustavo Santolala, who created the original game soundtrack. The plot of the first season of the series is supposed, according to most rumors, to follow the plot of the game almost in its entirety.
