All summer long, the 20 Heures team has taken you on the road to vacation. Friday August 19, she landed near the Cévennes.

The final stage of the 20 Hours series “On the road to vacation”, Friday August 19, is the Cévennes. Today’s mission: to wake up a steam train, which has already been in service for 85 years. Three hours later, the train finally set off. It covers 13 km between Saint-Jean-du-Gard (Gard) and Anduze (Gard), and up to 800 passengers are amazed. After the train, go for an aquatic and above all, acrobatic outing. In these granite gorges, the journalists of the 20 Hours will experience canyoning. Three hours of thrills at 55 euros per person.

For a snack, the regional specialty is goat cheese, Pélardon. Here, the goats are raised in the open air, by a former ornithologist. “We love them like our dogs”, says Sébastien Duboz, Pélardon producer at “Les caprices des Cévennes”. The cheese is sublimated with a renowned chef, who advises dipping it in eggs, and dipping it in almond powder before cooking it. On arrival, it’s a little pride.
