From the tie in the classroom to Fassino’s salary: Vittorio Feltri, the 3 follies of the week

There has been an unusual unease in Parliament for a few days. Even in the sacred chambers there is talk of imposing on ladies and senators a clothing more suitable for institutions, who currently often dress as gypsies. It is thought to make the tie compulsory. But that is not enough to make a person elegant. The discussion flared up when someone pointed out that some (many) even wear tennis shoes which give those who lead the country a vacationer’s tone that does not suit anyone who represents the state in any way. It is obvious that in Montecitorio and Palazzo Madama it is necessary to introduce a touch of style which today is almost solemnly lacking.

I don’t know how and when the debate will end, I’m afraid I never personally know the listlessness of several parliamentarians who limit themselves to warming their seats with their buttocks. They don’t even know, poor things, that even if the dress doesn’t make the monk, it makes the peasant. The dress is the most important business card because our interlocutors are forced to look at it first and if it sucks, the wearer sucks too. Not to mention that Parliament has a sacred connotation that should be respected by all those who frequent it, including women, many of whom are burines like certain, numerous, males. Among other things, gentlemen cannot even make the excuse of poverty since they receive so much money, despite the complaints of the comrade Fassino, who doesn’t even know how much money he has in his pocket, since he has forgotten, in his complaints, how much allowances supplement his pay.

There is another topic being discussed. It seems that various representatives of the people have been spied on I guess for blackmail purposes. Now the investigations are in full swing and we await certain news. Many characters tremble and I don’t understand why. Once it was said: do no harm, fear not. Instead, someone seems to me to be even shocked. By way of example, I would like to point out that if I were spied on, I wouldn’t give a fuck because I have nothing to hide, let alone my bank account which, if someone were to verify it, could at best envy me but not screw me up. Honest people aren’t afraid of snoopers, they’re like an open book.
