The year 2024 arrived in Brazil and was welcomed with lots of celebration, music and fireworks by Brazilians spread across cities from the north to the south of the country. In São Paulo, Avenida Paulista was packed with great shows by artists such as Chitãozinho and Xororó and Cláudia Leite.
São Paulo, between capital and coast
In the capital of São Paulo, the party also marks the beginning of the celebrations of the city of São Paulo’s 470th anniversary, which continues until Carnival. The countdown to the arrival of 2024 was done to the sound of the classic Evidence, from Chitãozinho and Xororó.

Rio de Janeiro, the biggest New Year’s Eve spectacle in the world
In Rio, more than 2 million people celebrated with pop and lots of samba. Copacabana Beach, in the south zone, brought two large stages.
