Forever Entertainment officially announced the delay in the release of Front Mission 2: Remake, the reimagining of the classic Square Enix strategy game. The game was scheduled to hit stores on June 12, but… well, not anymore.
The official statement explains the reasons for the delay, mainly due to lack of time to implement new features and reach acceptable standards:
«As the release date of Front Mission 2: Remake approaches, we have made the decision to postpone the release of the game on Nintendo Switch. This decision was not made lightly, but in collaboration with the development team, we want to make sure we have enough time to add as many features as possible while we proceed with proper implementation and testing, to meet your expectations for this remake.«.
The remake of the first Front Mission It arrived on Switch in November of last year, but it was met with mixed reviews. Could it be that Forever wants to polish what went wrong in the first part? At the moment the publisher has not given a final release date from FM2, but estimates that we will see it in the last quarter of 2023.
