WORLD: Besides patients with diabetes, strokes and other illnesses, are there any other people who are at a particularly high risk of a “frozen shoulder”?
Casper Grim: Let’s put it this way: The 20-year-old doesn’t actually get it, it mainly affects people between 40 and 70 years of age. And it hits the left side just as often as the right, both left-handed and right-handed. However, the frozen shoulder is found much more often in women than in men. Which is astonishing insofar as their connective tissue is actually more elastic than that of the man.
