Kananga, May 3rd2023(CPA)-. The cooperation between the IFAS University of Birkenfeld, in the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Higher Institute of Rural Development (ISDR) of Tshibashi, in the province of Central Kasai in the Democratic Republic of Congo, was welcomed on Tuesday by Prof. Peter Heck, on a working visit to Kananga, the provincial capital.
« African universities are called to do useful work through such an undertaking, » he said, expressing on behalf of his delegation the desire to develop a project leading to an educational plan between the two institutions.
In this regard, Prof. Heck defined the steps for the creation of this project, namely, economic analysis, evolution and technology analysis. He committed himself to building a university campus with access to photovoltaic energy.
The IFAS delegation also visited the Tshibashi River at the Mbombo Falls under the supervision of officials from the National Agency for Electrification Services in Urban and Peri-urban Areas (ANSER).
