FSB in Ivanovo region discovered a channel of illegal migration from Vietnam and China

The FSB Directorate for the Ivanovo Region cut off the channel of illegal migration from the Asia-Pacific region, through this channel more than 50 citizens of Vietnam and China got to Russia. This was reported by the press service of the department.

On suspicion of organizing illegal migration (clause “a”, part 2 of article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), two residents of the Yaroslavl Region and one resident of the Moscow Region were detained. According to the investigation, out of selfish interest, they organized the illegal entry of Chinese and Vietnamese into the Russian Federation. The detainees submitted to the Migration Directorate of the Russian MIA Administration for the Ivanovo Region fictitious documents on attracting foreigners to work as highly qualified specialists.

Investigative actions and operational search measures are now being carried out. The FSB is looking for other members of the criminal group and foreigners legalized by the suspects. The detained residents of the Yaroslavl and Moscow regions face up to seven years in prison with a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles.
