Fuels like petrol, diesel, cooking gas are widely used in daily life among people. Even if the price of these increases, the demand for these does not decrease. In particular, petrol-diesel price hikes are causing stress to the public, but these are inevitable things. Fuel consumption in India is increasing every month.

In this case, India’s fuel consumption has fallen in the month of August. Demand for diesel in the agricultural and industrial sectors has slowed. India’s petrol sales fell 11.2 percent in July to 2.82 million tonnes in the period from August 1 to 15. Petrol sales stood at 3.17 million tonnes during the same period in July.

Petrol sales are booming.. There is no problem even if the price goes up!
In terms of diesel sales, there was a growth of 58.2 percent at 1.78 million tonnes. Similarly, it is 23 percent higher than August 2019. In terms of jet fuel, jet fuel sales rose 42.2 per cent to 2,48,100 tonnes in the first 15 days of August. This is 121 percent higher than the August 2021 level.

In 2020, India’s fuel consumption hit a steep decline after the Corona crisis. After that the fuel sales also started increasing after normalcy returned. But now there is a backlash in diesel use due to reduced activity in the agriculture sector due to disappointing monsoons.
