Just over 10% of French service stations are still experiencing supply difficulties this Monday morning, that is to say pumps “where at least one product is missing”, according to the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, guest of franceinfo. A figure unveiled when the government no longer publishes since Thursday detailed estimates by region.

“That does not mean that locally there are not more significant difficulties”, acknowledged the minister, who nevertheless insists on the fact that “compared to last Monday, when 30% of the stations were affected, we have a unrelated situation”.

A “serene start on vacation”

“There are still a number of difficulties, I’m not going to hide it, the French see it well”, he admitted when the All Saints holidays started this Friday evening and caused many trips this weekend.

But the minister was pleased to have kept the government’s commitments, namely a “serene departure on vacation” for motorists, and to ensure that “the situation improves very significantly before the holidays”.

He also declared that priority had been given to supplying service stations on the highways and the busiest roads, to avoid any traffic difficulties and recalled that ministerial orders had been issued to allow the circulation of trucks. -cisterns on Sunday.

Asked about the continuation of the strike movement, the minister stressed that the structures could however function with the requisitions put in place. “There are no measures planned or decided” for new requisitions, he added. “Today, it helped to unblock the situation. We would do it if there was a need to do it”.
