jpnn.comJAKARTA – Fuji refused to resolve the Rp 1.3 billion embezzlement case committed by its former manager, Batara Ageng, through restorative justice or peaceful mediation.

This was revealed by the Head of Special Crimes Unit (Krimsus) of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Tomi Kurniawan.

“We have made two restorative justice (RJ) efforts, but they did not produce results, no agreement was reached between the two parties,” said AKP Tomi Kurniawan as reported by Antara, Thursday (11/7).

Batara is suspected of embezzling Rp1.3 billion of Fuji’s funds obtained from collaboration with 20 agencies from December 2021 to December 2022.

Fuji and Batara initially had no personal disputes or problems. Batara’s embezzlement was purely because he wanted to take Fuji’s money.

“There was no dispute or argument between the two of them, but this crime was purely related to economic problems used by Mr. BA,” explained AKP Tomi.

When questioned by the police, Batara admitted to embezzling money because he was tempted by the profits Fuji earned.

Batara then used the funds to pay for car installments, apartments, and daily needs.
