Full curfew in Theni district: Roads deserted-Dinamani

Roads in various parts of Theni district were deserted without traffic as a complete curfew was observed on Sunday.

As a measure to control the spread of corona in Tamil Nadu, the government has imposed a full curfew from 10 pm to 5 am on January 6 and every Sunday. Accordingly, buses and autos were not operating in Theni ahead of the 3rd week full curfew.

Businesses and shops were closed. Pharmacies, hospitals, and dairy stores functioned as usual. Freight traffic also declined.

Roads were deserted with no movement of people and vehicles. Police, local government and public health officials were involved in monitoring highways and highways. Police warned two-wheeler riders of unnecessary necessities and sent them back home.

Periyakulam

All the shops on the shopping streets were closed and the roads were deserted due to lack of public transport and vehicular traffic.

Kumuli Road on the Tamil Nadu border was blocked at Loya Camp. Similarly, shops, hostels and restaurants were closed in Kumuli, Kerala. No rental vehicles operated.

Uthamapalaiyam

Most of the roads in Uththamapalaiyam and Chinnamanur were deserted. In the last few weeks only vehicles of devotees going to Sabarimala Iyappan Temple were allowed. Besides, dispensaries, pharmacies, restaurants, milk dispensers, including petrol punk, functioned as usual.
