On June 12, the Madrid Association of Public Health (AMaSaP)which I currently have the honor of chairing, organized its V Encuentro with the motto: “Mental health, a challenge for public health”. More than a hundred health professionals met in the beautiful halls of the Ateneo de Madrid and exchanged reflections and experiences. In addition to the magnificent opening conferences (Marta Carmona: «There is no mental health, without public health») and closing conferences (Silvia Garcia Esteban and Barbara López Villas: «Challenges of community mental health from a first-person perspective»), we enjoyed of a valuable table on community mental health, in the morning, and another very interesting one on gambling addictions, in the afternoon, organized by SESPAS. No less attractive and of quality were the more than 20 communications presented on health experiences and studies on very different topics. They are already uploaded to Youtube the complete recordings of the different sessions that I share below, so that interested people who could not attend the Meeting can know them.

The program of the Meeting was this:

RECORDINGS:

Opening ceremony and conference (Marta Carmona: «There is no mental health, without public health»)

Round table on community mental health (Ayelén Losada, Marta Otaduy, Clara Benedicto and Raul Gómez), moderated by Javier Segura

presentation of communications (in the auditorium. The other two simultaneous communication tables could not be recorded)

Afternoon round table on “Gambling and its associated damage: an emerging public health problem” (Yolanda López, Luis de la Cruz, Daniel Lloret and María Pérez), moderated by Pilar Serrano, vice president of AMaSaP.
