The city of Auxonne (Côte-d’Or) wants to get rid of equipment in good condition that it no longer needs without throwing it away. She therefore opted for an online auction organized for six days until Tuesday. The objective is to recycle objects by allowing them to serve other owners but also to help the finances of the municipality, explains France Bleu Bourgogne.
“These are small sums, but there are no small savings”, thus estimated the DVC mayor of Auxonne Jacques-François Coiquil. The elected official welcomed the possibility offered by this sale to reduce the cost of part of the work undertaken in the town, including those of the cinema.
“The idea is really to offer as many things as possible” in order to increase the sums collected, explained Jacques-François Coiquil. Among the lots offered for sale, we find, for example, a piano, different types of furniture, cinema seats or even a car that can only be sold to automotive professionals.
