Doha: Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani has said that the brightest FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar. The Prime Minister said that the confidence shown by the world in Qatar was commendable. The aim is to create an impression on the world sports map and highlight the competitiveness and cultural diversity of the region.
He was speaking at the FIFA Congress at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. He said Qatar was hosting the World Cup on behalf of all its Arab brothers. He said the World Cup would help boost infrastructure development projects and the global tourism sector.
The FIFA Congress is chaired by President Gianni Infantino. Infantino also presented the Prime Minister with a FIFA T-shirt. The Congress was attended by heads of football associations from more than 200 countries, including India.
‘World Cup convenient for players and spectators’

He was speaking at a news conference at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center on the sidelines of the 72nd FIFA Congress. The World Cup can bring the whole world under one umbrella.
It will provide an opportunity not only for the Arab world but also for people around the world to travel to Qatar and learn more about the country and the Arab world. This year will be a comfortable World Cup for players and spectators alike. Spectators can watch more than one match a day. Infantino said the highlight of the Qatar World Cup is that players do not have to travel around on match days.
