iOS 18.0 and macOS 15.0 will appear in the final version on September 16th (next Monday) – but customers can not expect many new features here. Because: Apple focuses on Apple Intelligence with the current operating system generation – and the first AI functions appear only with iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1. Apple announced at the event that the public beta of iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 will be released in October – the final version is expected in late October or November 2024.
It is still unclear whether and in what way Apple Intelligence will appear in the EU – as Apple did not provide specific information during the event. The only thing that is certain is that German is not yet supported as a language – even if you can bypass the regional block. An announcement about how Apple will bring the AI platform within the EU is probably not expected until next year.
