The Italian tech giant underlines that it has fielded “in a few days a Tetra-Terrestrial Trunked Radio communication infrastructure (the international standard for mission critical communications) for the Public Security Forces who will monitor the event, which will thus be able to carry out rapid interventions in the event of an emergency and ensure the highest standards of protection for the area affected by the summit, for the population and for the territory “.
The network provided by the company, consisting of stations and radio links located in strategic places in the city, will ensure secure digital communications and widespread radio coverage of the Venice City and Mestre area, but also of the lagoon and the beaches, up to the gates of Padua and Treviso, for a total area of about 1000 square kilometers. Leonardo explains that “some stations have also been set up in the operations center from which the security of the G20 will be managed, for the coordination of information from the nearly 600 communication terminals that will be used by the forces in the field and the localization of resources on the territory. The network is also designed for interoperability with broadband devices “.
