The agreement includes a price cap of 45 euros per barrel for low-refined products like fuel oil, and another of 100 dollars per barrel for more expensive products like diesel. It comes two days before the start of an EU embargo on these products. A first agreement had been reached at the beginning of December, to cap the price of Russian oil only, at 60 dollars a barrel.
