G7 Health, Ancona prepares with limitations and checkpoints – Health and Wellbeing

by times news cr

(ANSA) – ANCONA, 01 OCT – “Ancona will not be closed off to receive the ministers and delegations of the G7 Health, there will be limitations but they will be reduced for citizens, traders and port activity. This is what the mayor asked Daniele Silvetti and this was arranged.” Of course there will be inconveniences, especially around what is the heart of the world meeting, the Mole Vanvitelliana, but the prefect, Saverio Ordine and the police commissioner, Cesare Capocasa, assure that supervision and security needs “will be sustainable”.
The controls will be tight but citizens and operators will be able to equip themselves with a pass, which will be checked at the access checkpoints to the red zones, such as the one near the Mole and the Teatro delle Muse, during the scheduled meetings. The greatest sacrifices will weigh on the port operators, the Mole is inside the port, but the plan developed by the commissioner, in synergy with the commander of the Port Authority Admiral, Vincenzo Vitale and the General Secretary of the Sea Port System Authority Adriatico Centrale, Salvatore Minervino, allows activities not to be stopped even if some will be reduced (no more than 50 trucks per ship for example) or will dock at night, as will happen for cruise ships.
While the 200 boats of pleasure boaters today docked next to the Mole will have to move and to facilitate their removal, Marina Dorica has organized a regatta in Croatia.
And the two thousand Fincantieri employees will work reduced hours on the 9th and 10th so as not to occupy the routes and roads affected by the passage of delegations during the events. In short, a set of measures, illustrated during a press conference with all the protagonists of the organisation, to alleviate the situation developed by the Police Commissioner who, with an inter-force task force will monitor the city from three control rooms (headquarters of the police command local) and through the eyes of 450 cameras distributed between Ancona and Portonovo (home to some delegations).
Even the fishermen of Numana will have to leave the port because the gala dinner will take place there. “For the city, the G7 Health, which will take place on 9-10 and 11 October, represents a great opportunity – underlined the Mayor – security measures and restrictions are inevitable, especially on the 10th for the event which will be held at the Teatro delle Muse , but those who have to move around the city will be able to request a pass (to the email [email protected]) which will be checked at the checkpoints organized by the police headquarters”.
On the 11th and 12th there will also be demonstrations by the ‘No-G7’ network which will parade under the banner of “Not on my body” and a Street parade announcing that it wants to “take back the city”.
