G7 Science and Technology starts tomorrow in Bologna, focus on Big Data – Science and Technology

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, JULY 8 – Bologna and Forlì are ready for the G7 Science and Technology, the inter-ministerial meeting that will take place from tomorrow to July 11, chaired by the Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini. Tomorrow, July 9, the ministers and delegations of Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the European Union will arrive in Bologna. On the 10th, the Tecnopolo will get into the thick of the discussions with a major focus on Big Data and artificial intelligence, but not only that. On July 11, the conclusions will be held at a mid-morning press conference.
The setting for the ministerial meeting of the ‘big 7’ is the Tecnopolo of Bologna, which for the occasion inaugurates the new exhibition space in pavilion B4, which will become a permanent space and a meeting place for events, initiatives, conferences dedicated to artificial intelligence, digital economy and Big Data. In Forlì the ministers will participate on the evening of the 10th in the concert of the Symphony Orchestra of the Italian Conservatories, at the Abbazia San Mercuriale.
The agenda, divided into several sessions, will focus on a broad spectrum of priority themes identified by the Italian Presidency: safety and integrity of scientific research, open science and scientific communication; large research infrastructures; research on new and emerging technologies, nuclear energy and space; cooperation with Africa in the fields of research and innovation; protection of the seas and oceans and their biodiversity.
