The leaders want to reinforce the effectiveness of its measures penalizing Russia.
The leaders of the G7 countries threatened on Friday to “severe costscountries that would continue to help Russia circumvent the sanctions imposed because of its invasion of Ukraine.
«We call on third countries or other international actors who seek to circumvent or weaken our measures to cease their material aid to the war led by Russia, under penalty of exposing themselves to severe costs.“, declare the leaders of the G7 in a communiqué adopted at the end of a virtual meeting, the day anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
