Gabon: Oil production up 2% in the 1st quarter of 2023

DIG/ Oil production has picked up 2% in the 1st quarter of 2023 compared to the fourth quarter of 2022.

She has reached 2.55 million tons.

Exports established to 2.3 million tons.

According to the Directorate General for the Economy and Fiscal Policy, despite compliance with the quotas decreed by OPEC+, this performance was achieved thanks to field production without interruptions (malfunctions or scheduled shutdowns).

The good performance of the wells can also be explained by the previous investment efforts made by the operators.
