Reviczky was treated in the hospital for 23 days, according to her, she was given two bottles of antibiotics a day. However, after he got better, his cardiologist transferred him to the gastroenterology department at Semmelweis because he suspected that his infection was coming from somewhere. He underwent a colonoscopy, and during the examination a polyp was found, so it was proven that his Streptococcus infection originated there.
It turned out that he had more than one polyp in his body, so they had to be removed as well. Although Reviczky was sedated during the procedure, according to him, it was as if he had received nothing. His doctors are planning another similar operation in a few weeks to be sure: they have removed all the harmful things, preventing further diseases.
