Traveling to Brittany for Europe Day this Thursday, Gabriel Attal did not mince his words against the program of the National Rally for the European elections on June 9. “Do you continue to stay in the European Union, benefiting from everything that Europe brings you, or can we get out,” the Prime Minister asked.
“The National Rally is the methodical organization of the exit from the European Union,” he said. Do we want to stay “inside or outside”, he again declared, denouncing the RN, whose program defends, according to him, “a methodical organization” of leaving the EU.
With his words, the Prime Minister wanted to set an example for his government and its majority, mobilized throughout France a few weeks before the election. The choice of Brittany is not insignificant, because this region is considered a key sector for the majority and for the head of the list Valérie Hayer. He told Télégramme “that it is a European and humanist land, resolutely turned towards the future. It’s a land that benefits a lot from the investment of the European Union.”
The majority in battle order
Besides Gabriel Attal, the other members of the majority also traveled throughout France. Head of the list in the European elections, Valérie Hayer traveled to Bordeaux before heading to Corsica on Friday and Saturday. Her trip follows her speech on Tuesday at the Mutualité where she sounded the “general mobilization”.
This Thursday, around twenty members of the government went to meet the French to convince them to support and vote for the majority in the election on June 9. Head of State Emmanuel Macron will also be on the front line. Saturday morning, he planned to answer questions from Internet users about Europe.
