Back to school with a bang for Gabriel Attal. At the heart of the news after the ban on the abaya at school and the dramatic suicide of a teenager in Yvelines against a backdrop of school harassment, the new Minister of Education has decided to live to the rhythm of a high school for three days.
The former government spokesperson will in fact take his entire cabinet for an immersion stay in a high school in eastern France from September 20 to 22, RTL reports this Friday morning.
The minister is going to sleep at the boarding school
Over three days, the minister and his 15 advisors will discuss with the educational staff of the rural establishment in pairs: “The social advisor will meet with the teaching unions, the harassment advisor (who is a child judge) will meet the high school harassment representative,” specifies the radio.
An unusual operation, especially since Gabriel Attal even plans to sleep at the boarding school. This communication stunt recalls the initiatives of former President Nicolas Sarkozy, who had organized, in his time, councils of ministers in Strasbourg and Corsica, or of former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, who had his ministers moved for several days to participate in the second territorial conference, which took place in Cahors in 2017, recalls RTL.
