“Fighting inactivity traps means re-examining our model,” he declared, with his sights set on what constitutes the strongest announcement in the speech in this area: the elimination of the allowance of specific solidarity (ASS), which unemployed people at the end of their rights receive “and which allows, without working, to validate quarters of retirement”. “But retirement must always remain the fruit of work,” he argued.
