A new era is on the way. After Christoph Galatia Galatia signed last night (Monday) the two-year contract as PSG’s new coach, he will be introduced during the day as the team’s new coach from the City of Lights. Galatia will be the 31st coach in the history of Paris, the seventh in the Qatari era, and he will replace Mauricio Pochettino.

The French coach, who previously coached Saint-Etienne, Lille and most recently Nice, will be presented at an official press conference at the Parc des France on Tuesday and then put on a uniform and guide his first training session with the French champions, at the Camp de Logg training camp.

PSG will pay Nice compensation in the amount of 10 million euros, as Galatia was under contract. The 55-year-old coach was one of two candidates to reach the Parc de France, along with Zinedine Zidane who rejected the Parisians’ offer. Galatia will collaborate again with Luis Campus, PSG’s new professional advisor, after the great work they did together that night.

Galatia arrives in the City of Lights after leading Nice to fifth place and the Cup final, where the team lost from the Riviera to Nantes. The one who replaced him in Nice is none other than Lucian Fabre. Galatia had his biggest success in 2021 when he led Lille to the championship at the expense of PSG.
