Gallery: They donate computers to turn Zunil into a digital municipality

The municipality of Zunil in Quetzaltenango becomes the seventh digital municipality in Guatemala. Zunil public schools now have a virtual computer environmentavailable to all students of these educational centers.

In addition, it has a Community Technology Center (CCT)which is available to all the inhabitants of the municipality.

The Sergio Paiz Andrade Foundation (Funsepa) carries out the equipment with the support of InterBanco through the Corporate Social Responsibility program: Make it possible.

That is why virtual environments were inaugurated in nine public schools in Zunil. These have a total of 171 teams, which will benefit about 1,391 students from this municipality.

Besides, 85 teachers from this community also They will have the possibility of being part of a training process, through which they will be able to learn new strategies to know how to take advantage of technology as a pedagogical tool.

The Ministry of Education was also part of this digital transformation, equipping two municipal schools with 52 computers, benefiting 461 additional students.

According to the entities involved 1 thousand 893 boys and girls de Zunil will have access to technological tools that will allow them to have transformative learning experiences.

Funsepa’s virtual environments provide access to state-of-the-art technology and educational tools. These allow a dynamic learning of subjects such as reading-writing or mathematics.
