The French coach Christophe Galtierformer Paris Saint-Germain coach, was definitively acquitted this Friday of the accusations of harassment and racial discrimination that weighed on him, relating to his time on the OGC Nice bench during the 2021-22 season.

The prosecutor, who had requested a prison sentence for the current Al Duhail SC coach, one year suspended prison and a fine of 45,000 euros, announced through the newspaper ‘Nice-Matin’ that he will not appeal the acquittal already decreed for Galtier on December 21.

According to the newspaper ‘L’Équipe’, the court had considered that neither of the two crimes was serious. “This decision by the Prosecutor’s Office not to appeal the acquittal definitively closes this case and confirms the slanderous nature of the accusations made against Christophe Galtier, who is definitively rehabilitated,” commented Olivier Martin and Sébastien Schapira, lawyers for the Al Duhail coach.
