Samsung is leveling up the gaming experience on its Galaxy phones and tablets. The company has revealed a suite of new features arriving with One UI 8.5, headlined by Game Booster+, which lets users map touchscreen controls to a gamepad.
Game Booster+ also introduces the ability to tweak CPU and GPU settings on a per-game basis, optimizing performance for a smoother experience. This replaces the previous ‘Turn on Game Booster GPU Settings’ option. But that’s not all—the update also includes a handy feature to fast-forward intro videos, getting players into the action quicker.
These enhancements are part of the broader One UI 8.5 update, currently available in beta for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in select countries. The stable release is anticipated to roll out with the Galaxy S26 series next month.

Beyond Game Booster+, Samsung is also preparing additional features through an updated version of Good Lock and several of its modules, including new LockStar screen unlock animation effects.
