The most successful Bulgarian tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, will hold an open lesson for children in partnership with one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Bulgaria, MSD. The theme of the lesson is “Game, Set, Match for health!” and will bring together children from different sports schools in the capital. It will be held on September 17, a few hours before the biggest sports event in our country for 2024 – the charity match of Grigor Dimitrov with Novak Djokovic, organized by the “Grigor Dimitrov” Foundation.

In addition to valuable tips for improving the technique of young tennis players, children will learn how important health care and prevention, discipline and perseverance are for their successful development in sports and their professional life.

In 2020, Grigor Dimitrov created his eponymous charitable foundation to promote the development of children through his own example and that of the world’s great tennis stars. To help them build skills for physical, emotional and mental resilience, will to win, fortitude on their way to success.

“I need discipline and strong motivation to succeed. Game. Set. Match for health! Success is persistence! We’ll see you in Sofia!”, he shared the most successful Bulgarian tennis player in the world rankings before his meeting with the children.

Adolescent health prevention is a key topic for pharmaceutical company MSD. This year, MSD celebrates its 30th anniversary in the Bulgarian market with a series of initiatives, among which is the partnership with the Grigor Dimitrov Foundation for the demonstration charity match between Grigor Dimitrov and Novak Djokovic. The company shares the cause of the event: to support children and young Bulgarians on their way to achieving their goals and dreams, to develop resilience and fortitude, to gain confidence and win.

As a global leader, our responsibility is not only to develop innovative medicines and vaccines for a number of diseases, but also to prevent the health of all patients, including children. We are glad that in the person of Grigor Dimitrov we have found a true supporter of our mission“, he commented Milena Organdzhieva, Managing Director of MSD Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania.
