Kanika Dhillon made Taapsee ‘Haseen Dilruba’, now she is bringing her as ‘Gandhari’. Its announcement video was shared on Tuesday, in which Taapsee expresses both her attitude and the look of the film with just one dialogue. The trio of Taapsee Pannu, Kanika Dhillon and Netflix are preparing to make ‘Gandhari’ a franchise. It will be an emotional-action-drama franchise. Talking about the film, Taapsee told ‘Indian Express’, ‘Kanika and I are coming together again to do something different. This is the first time Kanika has written an action film. This is also the first time I am doing an emotional-action film.’
Taapsee and Kanika have worked together in 5 films so far
Kanika and Taapsee have been friends for a long time. This friendship started with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyaan’ in 2018. Since then, both friends have worked together in films like ‘Haseen Dilruba’, ‘Rashmi Rocket’, ‘Dunki’ and the recent release ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’.

Taapsee said- This is an action film, but not a spy thriller
After a long time of films like ‘Naam Shabana’ and ‘Baby’, Taapsee Pannu will be seen doing action on screen in ‘Gandhari’. She says, ‘I did this when spy films were not in vogue. Now when the trend of spy films has increased, I got offers for some films of this genre, but I turned them down. I felt that I have done this before. Then Kanika gave the idea of ’Gandhari’, in which I am not a spy! I am a mother, who is going to fight for revenge.’
