We also deliver Santa scarves and snack packages as surprise Christmas gifts to kindergarten students and people with disabilities.

This event was designed to deliver rich and happy Christmas memories and love to rural children and disabled children living in poor cultural environments through a surprise event.

Children’s bright smiles are our greatest gift. “We will continue to work with the local community to create Gangjin where children are safe and happy,” he said.

Gangjin County Governor Kang Jin-won said, “Santa Expedition Season 2, Santa is Shooting!” is a special event prepared to share the warm atmosphere of Christmas in rural areas and instill dreams and hopes in children. Meanwhile, the completion ceremony for the 1st Digital Agriculture University, newly operated by Gangjin-gun to foster digital agricultural experts who will lead the future of local agriculture, was successfully held in a small conference room at the Gangjin-gun Agricultural Technology Center on the 19th.

About 50 people, including graduates and officials, attended this graduation ceremony to celebrate the completion of the one-year curriculum.

The Digital Agriculture University reflects Gangjin-gun’s will to become a center of smart agricultural technology dissemination in line with the 4th industrial era by reorganizing the curriculum, which had been operated under the name of the Green Culture University since 2005, to the Digital Agriculture University starting this year.

Green Culture University, which has trained rural leaders and professional managers by producing about 1,600 graduates over the past 20 years, is focusing on producing talents with cutting-edge agricultural technology and digital capabilities under the new name of Digital Agriculture University.

A total of 69 students who completed the first class this year received diplomas in three courses, including Facility Gardening Smart Farm, Smart Korean Beef, and Influencer Marketing. They built practical capabilities to apply smart agricultural technology to the field through systematic training for a total of 70 hours, 15 times a year for each course. Through lectures and practical training on various topics such as smart farm operation practice, digital marketing strategy, and smart beef management, we developed expertise to prepare for the rapidly changing agricultural environment.

At the completion ceremony, commendations were given to outstanding students along with certificates of completion. Myungji Lee, a graduate of the Smart Korean Beef course, Inseon Kang, a graduate of the Facility Gardening Smart Farm course, and Seunggyu Yang, a graduate of the Influencer Marketing course, received commendations on behalf of each course.

Choi Young-ah, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said in a congratulatory speech, “Digital Agriculture University is a course established to help open a new future for local agriculture, and will continue to provide a curriculum that will continue to introduce cutting-edge agricultural technologies and strengthen local agricultural competitiveness. “We plan to organize and actively support it,” he said.

Young farmer Park Je-young, representative of the graduates, said, “I believe that smart agricultural technology is a new challenge and opportunity for young farmers like me and the direction in which we should move forward. Through what I learned in this training, I will be able to strengthen the competitiveness of agriculture and design a better future. “I will actively utilize it,” he said.

Digital Agriculture University plans to operate three courses in 2025: Smart Korean Beef, Bio-Fermentation, and Healing Farm. We plan to continue to diversify the educational process and strengthen the digital capabilities of local farmers through a curriculum that reflects the latest technology.
