jpnn.comSEMARANG – Police have distributed vulnerable points that have become places for brawls between gangsters in Semarang City, Central Java. There are six points of concern.

Semarang Police Chief Commissioner Pol Irwan Anwar explained that a number of these points were regulars for brawls between gangster groups.

The vulnerable points are spread across Bandarharjo Village, Panggul Kidul Village, Barusari Village, Mlagiarjo Village, Karangayu Village and Banjardowo Village.

Commissioner Irwan said that the vulnerable points were the result of police mapping after carrying out patrols since the rise of gangsters which had disturbed the people of Semarang City.

“Recently, the level of juvenile delinquency in Semarang City has led to criminal acts. Throughout 2024 there will be 43 cases related to juvenile delinquency and as many as 77 people will be detained,” said Irwan at the Semarang Police Headquarters, Tuesday (1/10).

He stated that the majority of the perpetrators who were involved in brawls between gangsters were still students, and quite a few were teenagers who had dropped out of school.

The actions of gangsters carrying sharp weapons or weapons have led to criminal acts. According to him, there is no room for gangsters to cause trouble.

Moreover, thousands of CCTV cameras or surveillance cameras have been installed in all corners of Semarang City. In this way, the activities of the gangsters are monitored by the police.

“In the city of Semarang, there are 59 thousand CCTV cameras that are connected to the Polrestabes. So, whatever you (gangsters) want to do, you will still be caught,” he said.

On the other hand, Kombes Irwan revealed that gangster activities were also monitored directly by the public. The reason is, many people have downloaded the Libas or Semarang Great Police application on the Play Store and App Store.

“Tell me which incident you committed, which we don’t know about. Sooner or later you will definitely be caught. Because 272 thousand people have downloaded the Libas application,” he said. (mcr5/jpnn)
