Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province has started additional recruitment for housing fund loan interest support for newlyweds. Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province is recruiting additional beneficiaries for the “Housing Fund Loan Interest Support Project for Newlyweds” from September 1 (Sun) to 27 (Fri) to support housing stability for newlyweds who face a high burden of housing expenses.

The newlywed housing loan interest support project, which is being promoted to respond to regional extinction and help form stable families in the early stages of marriage, is a public promise of the 8th local government. If a newlywed couple in the province borrows housing funds for jeonse and monthly rent, it is a project that supports interest repayment within the range of 3.0% per year, up to the limit of 100 million won in the loan balance.

The target of the application is a newlywed couple who has been married for less than 7 years from the date of marriage registration, and who does not own a home, and is selected based on income criteria and number of children. If selected as a support recipient, you can receive up to 3 million won per year for 2 years within the scope of the loan interest repayment amount.

A total of 621 households applied for the first round of recruitment that was held until Wednesday, August 28th, and in this additional recruitment, additional beneficiaries will be selected within the remaining project budget. Households eligible for the project can apply through the ‘Our Province-Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province’ app (APP).

Kim Soon-ha, head of the Construction Division of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, said, “The newlywed couple housing fund loan interest support project is a project to overcome the population decline and regional extinction crisis caused by newlywed couples’ housing instability. We ask for a lot of interest from newlywed households in the province so that no households that are eligible for support are left out,” and “We will continue to do our best to create a friendly environment where newlywed couples can get married and have children without worrying about housing.”
