Gapyeong County Governor Seo Tae-won closely checked major business sites in the county government. Gapyeong County conducted on-site inspections of 11 major business sites in the county over three days, the 18th, 19th, and 22nd, to realize the vision of ‘Gapyeong, a city where nature blooms into the economy.’

To ensure the smooth implementation of projects being promoted by each department, County Governor Seo Tae-won personally conducted a close check, identified problems with pending projects, and confirmed on-site measures.

These include the expansion and paving work (Phase 2) of North Line 101 (Mokssa Line), a rural road where bridge reconstruction is being carried out.

In addition, the Sangmyeon Living Sports Park soccer field expansion and facility renovation project, the Jojong-myeon basic living base youth center creation project, and the Hyeonri sewage treatment facility expansion project are being carried out steadily without any problems.

Previously, County Governor Seo, who was elected in the 8th popular election, was promoting 55 pledge projects with 7 goals under the vision of ‘Gapyeong, a city where nature blooms into the economy’, and all of the promises made to the residents were evaluated as having achieved results.

As of the end of December last year, pledge projects focusing on fostering cultural tourism contents and building urban infrastructure showed a completion rate of 14.5%, but including projects that are normally being promoted, the progress rate is 100%.

The pledged projects are progressing smoothly, with 8 completed and continuing, 44 in normal progress, 2 in partial progress, and 1 scrapped, with the average completion rate of normal projects reaching 48.1%.

Projects that have been 100% completed include the establishment of a Seoul office for budget and business attraction, the hosting of the 2025-2026 Gyeonggi Province Sports Festival, which has been successfully attracted for the first time in military history, and the establishment of a civil complaint policy control and auditor’s office to actively resolve civil complaints and create a clean public service society. .

Projects that are normally being promoted include the creation of a military content theme park, application for designation as a special tourist zone along the Bukhangang River, the Bukhan River Millennium Waterway project, and the creation of a forest ecology theme park in Buk-myeon, etc., which are aiming for early completion. Some of the projects are the Unaksan Mountain Tourism and Leisure Complex. The construction and establishment of a mountain tourist site development plan around Sinseonbong Peak (Mt. Ulup) are scheduled to be completed within the term.

County Governor Seo said, “We will strive to ensure that major projects, as well as pledged projects, achieve clear results, and for projects that are slow to progress due to various problems, we will open possibilities in various ways and prepare measures to achieve progressive results.”
