Gapyeong-gun is nearing completion of the Gapyeong-eup rural center revitalization project. Gapyeong-gun announced on the 11th that the Gapyeong-eup rural center revitalization project, which has been selected as a project managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, with a total project cost of 12.7 billion won, including government funds, is scheduled to be completed in June.

This project, which has been promoted in the Gapyeong-eup and Buk-myeon areas since about two years ago, is to expand central functions such as education, welfare, and culture in the towns and villages, which are the center of rural areas, and establish a system to deliver central services to the villages behind.

As part of the project, the county is building the ‘Gapyeong Joint Site’ on a 1,346㎡ site located at 432 Eupnae-ri, Gapyeong-eup (formerly Jaraseom Jazz Center), with a total building area of ​​3,758㎡, one underground floor and four above-ground floors.

The first basement floor will be equipped with a machine room and parking lot, and the first to fourth floors above ground will contain a toy library, repair shop, operation room, healthy family multicultural family support center, youth space, cooking practice room, multi-purpose conference room, and lounge.

After construction began in May 2022, lightweight partition construction, system scaffolding removal, art stage installation, and metal work are currently in progress, and the project cost is expected to cost approximately 9.7 billion won.

Once the project is completed, it is expected to become a place where lifestyle culture and arts such as gatherings, communication, welfare, and performances can take place for residents of various classes.

In addition, the ‘Buk-myeon Communication Center’, which will serve as a space for local residents to communicate and improve their health and improve the quality of life for residents, is being built at 848-5 Mokdong-ri, Buk-myeon (formerly Buk-myeon Office).

It is a two-story building with a land area of ​​1,874㎡ and a total building area of ​​970㎡, and the building includes a fitness room, yoga room, cooking class, resident health management room, club space, photography classroom, study room, cafe terrace, and open yard. .

Construction began in November 2021 and is currently in the final stage, and is scheduled to be converted to the Buk-myeon office after completion in June of this year. The project cost is planned to be approximately 3 billion won.

Meanwhile, the Gapyeong-eup rural center revitalization project is evaluated as enriching the lives of residents and contributing to balanced national development through a unique project unique to Gapyeong, such as achieving an ‘excellent’ rating for two consecutive years until last year in the top evaluation of national balanced development projects. .
