Gapyeong-gun Haeum Toy Library moved to Gapyeong Joint. Gapyeong-gun announced that the ‘Haeum Toy Library’ moved to the first floor of Gapyeong Joint Center on January 2nd and began operating, and that it hopes for many uses. This library rents out a variety of toys and books and plays a role in supporting the healthy development and growth of infants and toddlers.
Currently, Haeum Toy Library has 190 members and holds 271 types of toys and 333 books. Through this, we are contributing to reducing the burden of childcare costs on parents of infants and toddlers and resolving the difficulties of raising children.
The newly relocated Gapyeong Joint Site has an underground parking lot, making parking easier and more accessible than before, thereby increasing user convenience. In addition, the expanded space provides an environment where toys and books can be used more comfortably.
Park Seong-gyu, head of the Happy Care Department, said, “We hope that users’ inconvenience will be resolved through this relocation, and we plan to purchase additional new toys in January to reflect residents’ opinions.” He added, “We hope that all children in Gapyeong-gun will grow brightly through healthy play.” “I do it,” he said.
Lee Yeon-hee, director of the Comprehensive Childcare Support Center, said, “We are grateful to Gapyeong-gun for their interest and support in relocating and operating the toy library. We will strive to provide services that will satisfy parents and children in the future.”
Haeum Toy Library is located at 33 Bonap-ro, Gapyeong-eup, and inquiries about use can be made to the Childcare Comprehensive Support Center.
Meanwhile, Gapyeong-gun (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced that the ‘2033 Gapyeong-gun Urban Regeneration Strategic Plan’ has been approved by the Gyeonggi-do Urban Regeneration Committee and will be published as a public notice on the Gapyeong-gun Newspaper and the Gapyeong-gun Office website from January 7th.
County residents can view books related to the ‘2033 Gapyeong-gun Urban Regeneration Strategic Plan’ from January 7 to February 6 at the Urban Regeneration Team of the Urban Department of Gapyeong-gun Office.
Before approving the urban regeneration strategic plan, Gapyeong-gun conducted a survey and public hearings to collect sufficient resident opinions. After writing the draft, the final plan was approved by the Gyeonggi-do Urban Regeneration Committee after listening to the opinions of the county council and consulting with related organizations. This strategic plan targets the entire Gapyeong-gun administrative district (843㎢), and the base year is 2024 and the target year is 2033.
The basic idea of the plan is to divide Gapyeong-gun into an eco-tourism conservation area (Jojong-myeon, Sang-myeon, and Buk-myeon) and a regional-specific cultural area (Gapyeong-eup, Cheongpyeong-myeon, and Seorak-myeon), and to present the direction of urban regeneration for each area.
In addition, a systematic diagnosis of urban decline was conducted in the areas of population, society, industrial economy, and physical environment, and two revitalization areas (Jatgoeul Market in Gapyeong-eup and Yeoul Market in Cheongpyeong-myeon) were designated through resident survey results and analysis of urban regeneration potential. .
Lim Jin-seop, head of the city department, said, “With the establishment of this urban regeneration strategic plan, we have laid the foundation to pursue a long-term, resident-led urban regeneration project,” and added, “We will establish a detailed implementation plan and promote the urban regeneration project in earnest.”
