Gapyeong-gun operates the ‘Anyone Care’ service for emergency care. “If you need emergency care in a crisis, use ‘Anyone Care’.” Gapyeong-gun (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 26th that it is implementing the ‘Everyone Care’ project to address the gap in care due to rapid aging and the increase in single-person households.

The Everyone Care Project is a Gyeonggi-do open contest, and out of 31 cities and counties, 15, including Gapyeong-gun, are participating. Gapyeong-gun is supporting this project with a budget of 120 million won (including 50% of provincial funds) this year.

Anyone can apply for the care project at the administrative welfare center in their town or village if they have difficulty moving alone or performing independent daily activities, if they have no family to take care of them, if they do not use public care services, or if there is an unavoidable gap while using the service. You can.

The cost of care is within the limit of 1.5 million won per person per year, free for those earning 120% or less of the median income, and 50% of the amount used for those between 120% and 150% of the median income. Anyone with an income exceeding 150% of the median income can use care services, but the entire amount must be paid out of pocket.

Gapyeong-gun provides three services: daily care, companion care, and temporary care.

Among these, daily care supports physical and household activities, and companion care supports hospital accompaniment and daily living tasks. Both can be used up to 60 hours per year. Temporary care provides meals and nursing support services at long-term care facilities for up to 15 days per year.

Ji Byeong-rok, head of the welfare policy department, said, “It is expected that anyone can resolve the gap in care by providing appropriate services to the elderly, middle-aged, etc. who are in the blind spot of welfare through care projects.” “We hope that anyone who needs emergency care, such as in difficult cases, can use the care service,” he said.
