Gapyeong-gun is putting all its efforts into discovering new policies for 2025 to improve the quality of life of Gapyeong-gun residents. Gapyeong-gun (Governor Seo Tae-won) will work to improve the local economy and the quality of life of its residents next year through new projects such as ‘Traditional Market Day’, ‘Music Station 1939 Moonlight Film Festival’, and ‘Active Administrative Consulting on the Go’.
Gapyeong County announced that it held a ‘2025 New Policy Report Meeting’ in the county office conference room on the 19th and put its heads together to discover policies that can improve the growth of Gapyeong County and the quality of life of its citizens.
The ‘2025 New Policy’ focuses on discovering future policies for Gapyeong that are in line with the new era’s trends, rather than repeating existing projects or promoting annual projects. Through this, the plan is to respond to the new policy direction of the government and Gyeonggi Province and pursue future-oriented changes in Gapyeong.
In addition, we decided to benchmark excellent policies of other local governments and apply them to Gapyeong-gun, and actively promote empathy-based policies to realize administration that satisfies the people of the county. In particular, we have discovered many policies that can be linked with external financial resources such as national and provincial budgets, considering the county’s financial conditions.
The report meeting that day was held with the attendance of all department heads, including County Governor Seo Tae-won, Deputy County Governors, and Directors, reporting on a total of 82 new policies and discussing and reviewing each policy.
Among these, the ‘Traditional Market Day Operation’ encourages county office public officials to visit the four traditional markets in the district on the fourth Wednesday of every month and actively use the stores in the traditional markets for lunch, meetings, and employee dinners.
The ‘Music Station 1939 Moonlight Film Festival’ is a film screening held outdoors for a total of 8 times every Monday evening from April to May for the residents to enjoy with their families and friends. In addition, the ‘Active Administrative Consulting’ is a new attempt to protect and reward civil servants who promote ‘active administration’ for the residents.
In addition, the county decided to focus on new policies such as △Gapyeong-type policy consulting based on military administration awareness, △establishment of Gapyeong-gun population increase council, △big data analysis of Gapyeong-gun civil complaint processing status, △installation of motion detection sensor automatic voice alarms to prevent safety accidents in water play management areas and dangerous zones, △promotion of ‘paperless contracts’, and △implementation of one-stop civil complaint service.
Governor Seo Tae-won emphasized, “I will contribute to the development of the county administration and bring Gapyeong one step closer to its vision and rapid development with new projects that the people can feel,” and “I will do my best to promote new policies next year as planned without a hitch and to improve the quality of life of the people.”
