interviewer (time.news Editor): Welcome, everyone, to today’s segment. We have a unique chance to dive into a fascinating initiative taking place in Gapyeong-gun, where the local government is encouraging college students to engage with military governance. Today, I’m joined by Dr. Kim Ji-soo, an expert in public administration and youth engagement. Dr. Kim,thank you for being here!
dr. Kim Ji-soo: Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to discuss such an important topic.
Interviewer: Let’s jump right in. Gapyeong-gun is launching its ‘2025 Winter College Student military Government Experience Activities.’ can you explain the significance of this program for participating students and the community as a whole?
Dr. Kim: Absolutely. This program offers college students a unique chance to gain firsthand administrative experience, which is crucial for thier personal and professional development. By engaging in government-related tasks, students will understand better how civic duties operate and how local governance impacts community welfare. For the community, having students actively involved means fresh ideas and perspectives, which can enhance municipal services and programs.

Dr.Kim: Participation in programs like this can be transformative. Students often emerge with enhanced skills in leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration. These experiences might motivate them to pursue careers in public service or community organizing. Additionally, fostering a sense of civic responsibility is crucial; students who engage with government activities are more likely to remain active and informed citizens throughout their lives.

Dr. Kim: Supporting welfare facilities indicates the program’s commitment to community well-being. By helping in these areas, students are not only learning but also contributing positively to the lives of their peers and community members. Raising tuition funds is especially relevant in today’s economic climate.
