Garmin has announced a pair of new running watches, the Forerunner 265 and the Forerunner 965. Both come, for the first time for this series, with colorful AMOLED touch screens that are always on (Always On). This means a rich and beautiful display compared to previous models that were satisfied with screens with low colors and resolution. Battery time, according to the manufacturer, is not affected thanks to larger and more efficient batteries.

The Forerunner 265 comes in 46 and 42 millimeter sizes, with built-in GPS and all of the company’s sports widgets for measuring runs and races. Of course, Garmin offers a selection of tools for training, including recommendations for daily training, determining a dynamic training plan, and rich information about times and running style.

As a smart watch, the Forerunner 265 is able to display notifications from a smart phone, make payments through the Garmin Pay system, and also play music through Spotify or Deezer. The battery time is up to 15 days between charges, and the operating system comes with full support in Hebrew. The price in Israel is NIS 2,199.

The Forerunner 965 only has one 47mm model with a titanium frame. Compared to the 265, here the watch also includes a built-in map for navigation, a dedicated app for types while cycling, and real-time monitoring of effort including health recommendations to prevent bodily harm. The battery time increases to 23 days between charges, and of course the operating system here also comes with full support in Hebrew and topographical maps of Israel. The price will be NIS 3,099.

The Forerunner 265 models will be available for purchase in Israel starting March 8, while the Forerunner 965 is expected to arrive later this month.
