Gas stove exploding in many parts of the country today!

Gas stoves and gas cylinders have exploded all over Sri Lanka recently.

In this situation, an incident has taken place in the Jaffna – Nallur area where a gas stove exploded and scattered.

A homeowner who noticed the stove burning while preparing lunch today at a house on Nallur Kovil Road ran outside and called the shopkeepers in front.

No casualties were reported as the firefighters removed the gas cylinder and extinguished the fire.

Similarly, an explosion of a gas stove used to make tea has been reported in Ampara district.

A gas stove exploded in the Sammanthurai Valathapitiya area in Ampara district this morning and no one was injured in the incident.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a gas station, making tea as usual.

The victims stated that the explosion took place when they were driving the gas stove at the time of the incident and went outside. Sammanthurai police are investigating the incident.

Similarly, an explosion took place in Puttalam.

A kitchen stove exploded due to a gas leak in a house located on Puttalam Meher Road.

However, no one was injured in the incident which took place at 4.30 pm yesterday.

Puttalam police and forensic police rushed to the spot.

This is the first blast in Puttalam, police said. Puttalam Police said that an investigation is underway into the incident.
