The Vice-President of the National Assembly Participates in Community Development Works in Rugombo, Cibitoke and Requests Security Reinforcement at the Borders with the DRC and Rwanda.
Bujumbura (Rugombo Commune), 12/08/2023 – In line with the Burundian socio-economic policy, which is based in particular on the Community Development Works ( TDC – ), a fundamental pillar.
Accompanied by M. Bizoza Carême (OPC1, Colonel), Gouverneur of the CIBITOKE province, SATURDAY, Honorable Gashatsi Abel, Vice-President of the National Assembly of Burundi, teamed up with residents of social neighborhood Il in the Cibitoke area to take part in Community Development Works, aimed at the cleaning of local gutters. At the end of this initiative, he urged the inhabitants of the commune to remain calm and remain vigilant to preserve peace and security. He stressed the importance of collective cooperation to identify and counter possible disturbances emanating from border areas.
The province of Cibitoke, in Burundi, shares its borders with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, two nations in conflict.
