India does not want to lose Mayank Yadav who impresses with pace. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is taking initiatives to bring him into the pace bowling contract. In this, BCCI will take all the responsibility of taking care of Mayank.

Mayank is playing for Lucknow Super Giants in this year’s IPL. He has bowled only 8 overs. Because, within those 8 overs, that was the highest number of deliveries of more than 155 kmph in the history of IPL. Also presented himself as a perfect line-length wicket-taker bowler. He took six wickets in two matches. But, he got injured while playing the third match. He had to stay out of the field for three matches. BCCI wants to take care of such fast bowlers. That is why they plan to include him in the pace bowling contract for the season 2023-24. Now Mayank is not in any BCCI contract. This special deal has been made with promising young pacers. It stars Akash Dweep, Vijaykumar Vaisak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal and Vidnath Kaverappa. Mayank will also be with them.

A BCCI official told InsightSports, ‘Yes, the decision (to sign Mayank) has been taken. Pace bowling contracts have been created to increase the interest of these young talented pacers. Mayank and Mohsin were discussed. The selectors are giving their opinion.’

In this contract, the cricketers will get at least Rs 1 crore per annum as remuneration. They will also get the same facilities as the cricketers under national team contracts. You will get the opportunity to train at the National Cricket Academy. They have accommodation there. Injury rehabilitation will be done by BCCI at its own expense.
