by time news

(Gatineau) A new reward of $ 50,000 is offered to one or more people with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect in the murder of Kelly Morrisseau, a young woman from Ottawa who was found there precisely 15 years in a parking lot in Gatineau.

The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) reports that this is a record sum of money offered by the Sun Youth organization thanks to a donor wishing to remain anonymous.

Kelly Morrisseau was last seen alive on December 10, 2006 at around 4 a.m. on Montfort Street in the Vanier neighborhood of Ottawa. The 27-year-old was a mother of three and pregnant.

The SPVG believes that she was accompanied by a man and took a seat in his car. This man, whose composite portrait has been published, is still the main suspect in the murder today.

According to the elements of the investigation, the meeting between the victim and the suspect was probably aimed at the exchange of sexual favors.

Kelly Morrisseau was found dying by a walker in the parking lot near Gamelin Street. She died soon after of a massive hemorrhage from multiple stab wounds.

Articles belonging to the victim as well as evidence were found in the Frênes stream and behind a commercial establishment.

The police recall that each information transmitted to them, even if it may seem trivial, could be used for the investigation and allow the exploration of new avenues.
